Nehemiah 5: 3 & 6 & 9 19 Think upon me, my GOD, for good, according to all that I have done for
this people. (1)
19 It is a trespass offering: he hath certainly trespassed
against the LORD. (1)
1 & 4 & 7
Nehemiah 5: 18
Now that which was prepared for me daily was one ox and six choice sheep;
also fowls were prepared for me, and once in ten days store of all sorts of wine:
yet for all this required not I the bread of the governor, because the bondage was heavy upon this people.
(9)
Leviticus 5: 18
And he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy
estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make
an atonement for him concerning
his ignorance wherein he erred and wist it not, and it shall be forgiven him.
(9)
3 & 6 & 9
Nehemiah 5: 9
Also I said, It is not good that ye do: ought ye not to walk in the fear of
our GOD
because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies?
(9)
10 I likewise, and my brethren, and my servants, might exact of them money
and corn: I pray you, let us leave off this usury.
11 Restore, I pray you, to them,
even this day, their lands, their vineyards,
their oliveyards, and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money, and
of the corn, the wine, and the oil, that ye exact of them.
Leviticus 5: 9
And he shall sprinkle of the blood of the sin offering upon the side of the altar; and the rest of the blood
shall be wrung out at the bottom of the altar: it is a sin offering.
(9)
10 And he shall offer the second
for a burnt offering, according to the manner: and
the priest shall make an atonement for him for his sin which he hath sinned,
and it shall be forgiven him.
11 But if he be not able to bring
two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his
offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall
put no oil upon it, neither shall he put any frankincense thereon: for it is a sin
offering.
2 & 5 & 8
Nehemiah 5: 15
But the former governors that had been before me were chargeable unto the
people, and had taken of them bread and wine, beside forty
shekels of silver; yea, even their servants bare rule over the people: but so
did not I, because of the fear of GOD.
(6)
16 Yea, also I continued in the
work of this wall, neither bought we any land: and all my servants were
gathered thither unto the work.
17
Moreover there were at my table an hundred and fifty of the Jews and rulers,
beside those that came unto us from among the heathen that are about us.
Leviticus 5: 15
If a soul commit a trespass, and sin through ignorance, in the holy things
of the LORD;
then he shall bring for his trespass unto the LORD
a ram without blemish out of the flocks, with thy
estimation by shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for a
trespass offering. (6)
16 And he shall make amends for
the harm that he hath done in the holy thing, and shall add the Fifth part thereto, and give it unto
the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the
trespass offering, and it shall be forgiven him.
17
And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be
done by the Commandments of the LORD; though he wist it not, yet is
he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.
1 & 3 & 8
Nehemiah 5: 6
And I was very angry when I heard their cry and these words. (6)
7 Then I consulted with myself,
and I rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said unto them, Ye exact usury,
every one of his brother. And I set a great assembly against them.
8
And I said unto them, We after our ability have redeemed our brethren the Jews,
which were sold unto the heathen; and will ye even sell your brethren? or shall
they be sold unto us? Then held they their peace, and found nothing to answer.
Leviticus 5: 6
And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD
for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a
sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin.
(6)
7 And if he be not able to bring
a Lamb, then he shall bring for his
trespass, which he hath committed, Two turtledoves, or Two young pigeons, unto the LORD; one for a sin offering, and
the other for a burnt offering.
8
And he shall bring them unto the priest, who shall offer that which is for the
sin offering first, and wring off his head from his neck, but shall not divide it
asunder:
1 & 3 & 8
Nehemiah 5: 12
Then said they, We will restore them, and will require nothing of them; so
will we do as thou sayest. Then I called the priests, and took an oath of them, that they should do
according to this promise. (3)
13 Also I shook my lap, and said,
So GOD shake out every man from his
house, and from his labour, that performeth not this promise, even thus be he
shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and praised the LORD. And the people did according to this
promise.
14
Moreover from the time that I was appointed to be their governor in the land of
Judah, from the Twentieth year even unto the Two and Thirtieth year of Artaxerxes
the king, that is, Twelve years, I and my brethren have
not eaten the bread of the governor.
Leviticus 5: 12
Then shall he bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful
of it, even a memorial thereof, and burn it on the altar, according to the
offerings made by fire unto the LORD:
it is a sin offering. (3)
13 And the priest shall make an atonement for him as touching his sin that
he hath sinned in one of these, and it shall be forgiven him: and the remnant
shall be the priest's, as a meat offering.
2 & 5 & 8
Nehemiah 5: 1
And there was a great cry of the people and of their wives against their
brethren the Jews.
2 For there were that said, We,
our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that
we may eat, and live.
3
Some also there were that said, We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and
houses, that we might buy corn, because of the dearth. (3)
4 There were also that said, We
have borrowed money for the king's tribute,
and that upon our lands and vineyards.
5 Yet now our flesh is as the
flesh of our brethren, our children as their children: and, lo, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to
be servants, and some of our daughters are brought unto bondage already: neither is it in our
power to redeem them; for other men have our lands and vineyards.
Leviticus 5: 1
And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness,
whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear
his iniquity.
2 Or if a soul touch any unclean
thing, whether it be a carcase of an unclean beast, or a
carcase of unclean cattle, or the carcase of unclean creeping things, and if it
be hidden from him; he also shall be unclean, and guilty.
3
Or if he touch the uncleanness of man, whatsoever uncleanness it be that a
man shall be defiled withal, and it be hid from him; when he knoweth of it,
then he shall be guilty. (3)
4 Or if a soul swear, pronouncing
with his lips to do evil, or to do good, whatsoever it be that a man shall
pronounce with an oath, and it be hid from him; when he
knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these.
5 And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that
he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing:
