Genesis 49: 33 When Jacob had finished giving instructions to his sons, he drew his feet up into the bed, breathed his last and was gathered to his people. (6)

25 because of your father’s GOD, who helps you, because of the Almighty,  who blesses you with blessings of the skies above, blessings of the deep springs below, blessings of the breast and womb. (7)
26 Your father’s blessings are greater than the blessings of the ancient mountains, than the bounty of the age-old hills. Let all these rest on the head of Joseph, on the brow of the prince among his brothers.
27 “Benjamin is a ravenous wolf; in the morning he devours the prey, in the evening he divides the plunder.”

16 Dan will provide justice for his people as one of the tribes of Israel. (7)
17 Dan will be a snake by the roadside, a viper along the path, that bites the horse’s heels so that its rider tumbles backward.

“Simeon and Levi are brothers— their swords are weapons of violence.

The Death of Jacob
29 Then he gave them these instructions: “I am about to be gathered to my people. Bury me with my fathers in the cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
30 the cave in the field of Machpelah, near Mamre in Canaan, which Abraham bought along with the field as a burial place from Ephron the Hittite.

19 Gad will be attacked by a band of raiders, but he will attack them at their heels. (1)
20 “Asher’s food will be rich; he will provide delicacies fit for a king.
21 “Naphtali is a doe set free that bears beautiful fawns.

10 The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet,  until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his. (1)
11 He will tether his donkey to a vine, his colt to the choicest branch; he will wash his garments in wine, his robes in the blood of grapes.
12 His eyes will be darker than wine, his teeth whiter than milk.

Jacob Blesses His Sons
1 Then Jacob called for his sons and said: “Gather around so I can tell you what will happen to you in days to come. (1)
“Assemble and listen, sons of Jacob; listen to your father Israel.
3 “Reuben, you are my Firstborn, My Might, the First Sign of My Strength, Excelling in Honor, Excelling in Power.

26 “So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.
27 What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.

16 I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. (7)
17 Be on your guard; you will be handed over to the local councils and be flogged in the synagogues.
18 On My account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles.

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

41 Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever welcomes a righteous person as a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward.

32 “Whoever acknowledges Me before others, I will also acknowledge before My Father in heaven.
33 But whoever disowns Me before others, I will disown before My Father in heaven.

23 When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

13 If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you. (4)
14 If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet.
15 Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.

These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans.

10 no bag for the journey or extra shirt or sandals or a staff, for the worker is worth his keep. (1)
11 Whatever town or village you enter, search there for some worthy person and stay at their house until you leave.
12 As you enter the home, give it your greeting.

Jesus Sends Out the Twelve
1 Jesus called His twelve disciples to Him and gave them authority to drive out impure Spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. (1)
These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter)1 and his brother Andrew 2; James 3 son of Zebedee, and his brother John 4;
Philip 5 and Bartholomew 6; Thomas 7 and Matthew 8 the tax collector; James 9 son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus 10;
